Pre-Admission and Admission Procedures Pre-Admission (prior to submission of application)
- Attend a Visitors Day
- Attend an Informational Meeting
- Read Shepherding a Child’s Heart by Tedd Tripp and Recovering the Lost Tools of Learning by Douglas Wilson. These books provide a good overview of the values held by the families of PCS. Books available for purchase at PCS Visitors Days.
- Application packets will be available at the February Informational Meeting, or in the office during school hours after that meeting.
Admission - Complete your Application Packet and return it with the $200 application fee to the school office.
- After your application is reviewed, PCS will contact you if your family is a candidate for admissions. An interview will be scheduled with members of the School Board and the Admissions Committee. Both parents (without children) are expected to attend the interview.
- If your family is accepted to the school, an interview and academic testing with the child(ren) will then be scheduled. At this time, you need to provide the most recent SAT scores and a copy of report cards.
- After testing, the Admissions Committee will make recommendations for grade placement. An Enrollment Packet will then be provided to you.
Enrollment may be cut off due to class size. Classes will be filled according to the following order of preferences: - Returning students
- Siblings of returning students
- Children of PCS teachers and other employees
- New students
Kindergarten students must be at least 5 years old by September 1 of the entering year. | |
